Skunked Up Dog?

A Great Example

I love this heart warming example of a woman looking for a win/win.  She loves to knit and work with her hands and choose beautiful colors and textiles to work with.  She labors throughout the year using the skill she has learned and long-honed and then takes her time to make sure her efforts bless others who are in need.

Baking Challenge, Anyone??

The Goal:

Each day of the work week, each of our children has a designated day to bake a treat to share with everyone at snack time.

They have all sorts of methods to choose from, as well as Chef Todd Mohr's complete library of no-recipe cooking where they can learn the principles behind baking (and cooking).

Starting with packaged mixes, they work their up to scratch baking and then experiment with various substitutions and varieties of ingredients, from the simple white flour found in most grocery stores and white sugar to the other end of the spectrum sprouting and fermenting whole grains and using raw honey and local maple syrup for sweetness, plus every thing in between.

This scone recipe is next on the list for them to play with and try.  My hope is always to have a handful of baked treats they each like to make so that once they're on their own in their own homes they can continue to make their favorite baked treats for themselves, their families and guests.
